Check-out must be made by 11:00am. Late departures are to be agreed upon availability with the reception within 24 hours of departure and are subject to a surcharge.
How far is the hotel from the landing stage for the Borromean Islands?
We are just a 5-minute walk from the Carciano landing stage for the Borromean Islands and a 10-minute walk from the Stresa landing stage.
How far is the hotel from the city centre?
Just cross the road and you are immediately on the beautiful lakefront of Stresa.
With a regenerating 10-minute walking you will arrive in the center (800m).
How far is Stresa train station?
You arre in Hotel with a 7 minutes walk (500m).
But if you have heavy luggage you can always take a taxi just outside the station and in just 2 minutes you’ll be at the hotel.
How far is the nearest beach?
The nearest public beach is a 3-minute walk from the hotel.

Yes we have a large private parking within the hotel grounds, it is free for our guests. Unattended parking.

Yes, we reserved two convenient parking spaces for electric cars and these are equipped with a charging station (charging is for a fee).

The hotel has two bars, one inside and one outside, near the pool
The inside bar is open daily from 11:00am to 11:00pm and has an outdoor terrace.
The outdoor cocktail bar is located in the immediate vicinity of the pool and is open daily from 11:30am to 07:00pm.

Is the hotel weelchair accessible?
Yes, the hotel is wheelchair accessible: we have access to the hotel via ramp and a room dedicated to them located on the ground floor, recently renovated and free of architectural barriers.
Are pets allowed?
Small to medium-sized pets (maximum 20 kg) are welcome in the hotel with a small supplement of € 15.00 per stay.
The supplement includes a doggie welcome bag, extra daily cleaning and dog bowls.
For safety reasons, pets in the common areas of the hotel (indoor and outdoor) must be kept strictly on a leash and can’t be left alone in the room at any time during the day or in the evening and for any reason: if you need a dogsitter service we’ll be happy to give you a trusted name. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area and we ask you not to use the green spaces as a toilet for your pet.
Their arrival must be communicated in advance, possibly during booking.

Where can I rent a bike?
Hotel Fontana has 2 classic mountain bikes available from 08:00 to 18:00 for half a day or a full day. They must be booked in advance, have a rental cost and a credit card must be provided to guarantee the reservation. Included in the rental you have: helmet, odometer, drilling kit, padlock.
